Okay, this is surreal.

Jordi Navarro, the spanish voice actor of Yo-kai Watch’s protagonist Natham Adams, made a message in-character back in late march encouraging kids to stay inside, wash their hands, and be patient amidst the coronavirus quarantine.

Keep in mind, this is the spanish dub for the country of Spain (not Latin America). Spain is one of the countries that has suffered the most from the virus. 

Someone in twitter even made a video of the audio with footage from the anime, wich Navarro retweeted.

Here’s a translation:

Hello! I’m Natham Adams from Yo-kai Watch! My friends Whisper, Jibanyan and me are trying to capture the mischievous yokai that spread the coronavirus on the streets. So meanwhile, it’s very important that you stay at home, do as your parents say, and wash your hands a lot, okay? Isn’t that right, Whisper? Whisper says yes, and you know he knows everything because he reads it from his yokai-pad! So that. We’ll befriend the coronavirus yokai, but meanwhile you have to be on your best behaviour. Jordi Navarro has also made similar audios and tweets with other characters he has played, like Joseph Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Todoroki from My Hero Academia.
